Ben Armstrong of the New American blasted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for colluding with Big Tech to censor users. The federal agency urged social media platforms to ban users challenging the rigged 2020 elections and promoting Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell.”
Armstrong’s remarks followed journalist Matt Taibbi’s revelations in a Twitter thread about the platform’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story, originally posted by the New York Post. The Twitter thread, which cited internal sources, revealed that the social media network acted at the behest of the Democratic Party. According to Taibbi, the emails between FBI representatives and Twitter executives showed the social media platform’s “extraordinary steps to suppress the story” of the presidential son’s laptop.
Alongside this, Armstrong referenced a Dec. 2 teaser posted by Twitter CEO Elon Musk promising exclusive details regarding the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story. The Chief Twit made good on his promise, dumping documents related to the collusion. The New American journalist then played a clip from “Bannon’s War Room” where host and former Trump campaign strategist Steve Bannon interviewed author Miranda Devine.
“I think what Musk failed to deliver was the crucial bit about the censorship, which was that it was pre-ordered by the FBI at that point,” said Devine, author of the book “Laptop from Hell.”
“In the weeks before the 2020 election, the FBI was meeting with Big Tech companies Google, Apple, Twitter and Facebook on a weekly basis. And it was talking to them about disinformation, specifically before the election.”
Armstrong agreed with Devine’s remarks, adding that the FBI had been meeting with the CEOs of technology firms during the 2020 election campaign period to ensure a Joe Biden victory. He also pointed out that conniving with the mainstream media (MSM) and Big Tech is a normal thing for the FBI.
“This is why the FBI wanted the Russian collusion hoax to go forward. It was the FBI who pushed the Russian collusion hoax and told NBC, ABC and CBS to push those things – and they obey. They also tell Google, Twitter and Facebook what they can put out there and what they can’t.”
According to Armstrong, the FBI was originally established to handle cases of criminals crossing state lines. But in this day and age, the federal law enforcement agency is no longer needed.
“You have local law enforcement that can handle any of these cases. They can all be distributed, you don’t need a federal bureau. We don’t need them,” he said. “Each state could handle those cases, as it used to be before there was an FBI, we handled the cases just fine.”
He added that it’s a lot easier for the states to cooperate and resolve cases with each other through technology and this has made the FBI irrelevant.
“There’s no point to the FBI other than to be a thorn in the American people’s side, to persecute the American people or to be a benefit to one political party over the other. And clearly, they are there for the Deep State,” Armstrong said.
“If you’re a Republican, and you’re along with the Deep State, they’ll let you come along too.”
