President Trump’s appearance at the United Nations earlier this week generated a lot of headlines — mostly negative, of course, because the garbage “mainstream media” hates him. But one thing he said has received very little attention: He sounds like his administration is prepared to finally take on the social media giants who have been censoring conservatives.
“We must always be skeptical of those who want conformity and control,” President Trump said during a speech he gave to the stone-faced members of the U.N. General Assembly. “Even in free nations, we see alarming signs and new challenges to liberty.
“A small number of social media platforms are acquiring immense power, over what we can see and over what we are allowed to say,” he continued.
“A permanent political class is openly disdainful, dismissive and defiant of the will of the people. A faceless bureaucracy operates in secret and weakens democratic rule. Media and academic institutions push flat-out assaults on our histories, traditions and values,” Trump said in what appeared to be a reference to the Deep State establishment swamp he has repeatedly vowed to drain.
The biggest social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, and Instagram have habitually penalized conservatives and Trump supporters for their content and viewpoints. In addition, many conservatives and independent thinkers who simply refuse to accept the Left-wing libtard view of the world have been permanently banned from these platforms for the flimsiest of reasons.
The president, it seems, is not only on to what these platforms are doing, he seems intent on ensuring they don’t get away with it.
“In the United States, my administration has made clear to social media companies that we will uphold the right of free speech,” the president said. “A free society cannot allow social media giants to silence the voices of the people. And a free people must never, ever be enlisted in the cause of silencing, coercing, canceling or blacklisting their own neighbors,” he urged, referencing the current trend of ‘cancel culture.’

The president is likely responding to recent reports involving researchers and whistleblowers who have proven, beyond any doubt, that the social media giants are involved in a concerted effort to silence conservative, pro-America, pro-independent-thinking voices.
As NewsTarget reported in mid-July:
…Karan Bhatia, Google’s vice president for governmental affairs and public policy, denied to Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) that the tech giant uses search engine blacklists during a hearing … though recently leaked emails have exposed Google for doing that very thing.
The Daily Caller also reported that it obtained exclusive access to internal documents that lay bare a plot by Google to “blacklist” certain conservative and right-leaning websites so that their content rarely, if ever, appeared on the first few pages of searches (the most prime Internet real estate outside of Facebook’s news feeds).
“The purpose of the blacklist will be to bar the sites from surfacing in any Search feature or news product,” one Google document clearly states. “It will not cause a demotion in the organic search results or de-index them altogether.”
In addition, research conducted by Dr. Robert Epstein has proven that just by altering search results and making other minor algorithmic changes, Google and Facebook literally have the power to alter election results (and likely have — against conservatives).
Using the massive global forum of the U.N., Trump didn’t go there to do what most past American presidents have done in recent times — apologize for American greatness and essentially pledge to be less great and less intimidating in the future, even to the detriment of the American people.
It’s good to see for a change, frankly. And it’s also about time our president took on the blatant anti-conservative censorship, especially heading into the 2020 election.
