The much ballyhooed blog featuring updates from former president Donald Trump is a humiliating failure, according to the metrics.

In the past week, Trump’s blog performed worse than the pet-adoption service Petfinder and the recipe site Delish. In light of the abject failure of this project, Big Tech’s total Orwellian censorship of Trump has been [might have been] successful.
“Social engagement around Trump — a measure of likes, reactions, comments or shares on content about him across Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Pinterest — has nosedived 95 percent since January, to its lowest level since 2016,” the Washington Post smugly reported.
This project is yet another disgrace courtesy of Trump’s underlings and hangers-on, who he inexplicably refuses to kick to the curb.
Big League Politics reported on how former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale and former Trump senior advisor Jared Kushner are behind the blog project and running the show for Trump’s social media strategy:
“Former president Donald Trump has announced an independent social media platform that will allow direct interaction with his supporters, but the venture may already be doomed because of the influence from the usual suspects.
Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and disgraced former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale are running the project. Gab founder Andrew Torba spoke to commentator Pedro Gonzalez to explain his interactions with the Kushner sphere during negotiations earlier this year.
“As we told Mr. Kushner’s aides, Gab has no plans to sell our business or to compromise in any way our mission to defend free speech online for all people,” Torba said. “We fully expect the president’s entry into the arena to accelerate alternative technology growth trends and wish the president and his tech team well.”
“They said that they were in ‘make money mode’ and were focused on how they could financially benefit from Gab and change our free speech stance,” he added. “All I wanted to do was give the president his voice back, but Kushner and others in the president’s orbit expected me to hand the keys to the kingdom over to them and change the core mission of Gab. I wasn’t going to let that happen.”
Some of Trump’s hype men are already making the rounds talking about how Trump’s new social media platform is going to be groundbreaking, trendsetting, and spectacular.
“I do think that we’re going to see President Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months here, with his own platform,” said Trump senior advisor Jason Miller during an appearance on Fox News’ “#MediaBuzz.” “And this is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media, it’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does.”
“This is going to be launched in the next 3 to 4 months, and it’s going to be an interactive communication tool, whereby the president will be able to post things to it, and people will be able to repost and communicate directly with him,” said former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski during a recent appearance on Newsmax TV.
Lewandowski mentioned that Trump’s platform “is not going to rely on Amazon, or Amazon servers” and will “be completely built from scratch, from the ground up.” He also said that the social media platform is “going to give [Trump] the opportunity to control not only the distribution of it, but also who participates in it,” suggesting that this is an elaborate marketing ploy rather than an authentic attempt to protect digital free speech.”
At the behest of Kushner, Trump has shunned legitimate alternatives to the Big Tech monopolies, such as Gab, over concerns that it would cause bad media coverage. Gab founder Andrew Torba is inviting Trump to finally come on his platform where he is already receiving more engagement than he is on his blog.
“Looks like the Trump mirrored Gab account is getting 4-5X engagement on the messages than his blog is across the rest of the entire internet! The President is always welcome to take over ownership of the Gab account, but only on my conditions which are simple: login and speak freely,” Torba wrote in a Telegram post.
Trump will likely need to ditch Kushner and Parscale before he gets on Gab or on another alt social media platform. And since Trump has already tolerated this much buffoonery from these two, that is never likely to happen.
